Data licence terms
A plain summary of how our data may be used. The signed order or agreement is what governs.
In short. Data is licensed for your organisation’s own use. Resale, republishing or building a competing data product needs a separate written agreement. If we find an error in data we delivered, we correct it and reissue the affected files.
Licence types
| Licence | Who may use the data | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Internal use | Employees of the buying legal entity | Planning, analysis, internal reports and presentations |
| Group or enterprise | The buying entity and named group companies | Shared use across a group |
| Redistribution or derivative product | Only as set out in a separate written agreement | Reselling data or including it in a product for others |
What is not allowed without written agreement
- Reselling, republishing or sharing the data set outside the licensed entity.
- Using the data to build a data product that competes with ours.
- Presenting our data as your own source without attribution when you publish a chart or figure.
Delivery
Data is delivered as Excel, CSV or PowerPoint, as agreed in the order. The sample and the order state the fields, the period and the refresh schedule.
Corrections
If we find an error in data we have delivered, or you report one, we investigate, correct it, reissue the affected files and tell you what changed. Corrections are recorded in the release notes.
Renewals, updates and refunds
Charges for updates, renewals and any refund conditions are set out in each order.
Independence and trademarks
Manufacturer, brand and model names are used only to describe the data and belong to their owners. Their use implies no endorsement or affiliation.
This page summarises how we usually license our data. It is not a contract. Contact info@autodatainsights.com for the terms of a specific data set.
